Rabbi Eliyahu Leon Levi, also called "Baba Leon", was a well known Rabbi and Kabbalist, author of "Tikun-Yesod Yeshuat-Eliyahu".
Background
When he was 8 years old, his family immigrate to Israel and settled in Ness Ziona colony, and later moved to Ezra neighborhood in Tel Aviv, where his father established "Ezra and Tushia" Beth Midrash and was the Rabbi of Turkey immigrants.
Career
Born as youngest child in family to Shafika & Rabbi Yeshua who was chief rabbi of Maraash, Turkey. Rabbi Leon was also well known as big cantor and was proficient in the Maqam singings. Rabbi Leon authored the "Tikun-Yesod Yeshuat-Eliyahu" – a special prayer for Pgam Habrit, and during decades he traveled between synagogues in Israel and abroad, to bequeath this prayer.
This special prayer took place every Tuesday of the Shovavim days, in a night of praying, singing and crying until sunrise.
They also visited the Western Wall each Rosh Chodesh for a special Rosh Chodesh prayer.
