After receiving a home education, Elizaveta Dmitrievna spent most of her childhood abroad.
Her literary activity began in 1869, when she placed her first article about I.S. Turgenev in the Italian magazine "Rivista Europea", then she was an employee of many other foreign magazines. For ten years, she wrote news about Russia in the "Journal des Débats" with the initials T. S. (Tatiane Swetow, Tatyana Svetova).
Since April 17, 1876, Elizaveta Dmitrievna placed the feuilletons twice a month in the "Journal de S.-Pétersbourg", under the title "Chronique". Elizaveta Dmitrievna died of consumption on September 6, 1881, in Tsarskoye Selo and was buried in the cemetery of the village of Bolshoy Kuzmino.
In 1852 Elizaveta Dmitrievna married Vladimir Pavlovich Bezobrazov, who was serving in the department of a fixed amount of the Ministry of Finance, whose director was the father of Elizaveta Dmitrievna.
