Career
Entered army, 1860, as cadet in Bengal Cavalry. Posted to 19th Hussars, 1862, on formation of regiment. Exchanged to 105th Foot, 1868.
Joined i Indian Staff Corps, 1869. Served in 4ih and 2nd Punjab Cavalry, and Corps of Guides, 1869-S7. Adjutant, Behai Light Horse, 1873-1876.
Assistant-Adjutant-General Punjab, 1887-1890. Commanded 3rd Ben gal Cavalry, 1891-1894. Deputy-Adjutant-General in India, 1894-1897.
Officiated in; command of Allahabad, Assam, and Agra Dis- 1 tricts, 1897-1899. Residing out of India on colonel’s allowances.
