Began as assistant engineer C.B.&Q. R.R., 1906, division engineer, 1909-1911. Engineering editor, Railway Age Gazette, 1911-1919. Western editor Railway Age since 1919, also editor Railway Engineering and Maintenance since its establishment, 1916, and of Railway Engineering and Maintenance Cyclopedia.

Vice president Simmons Boardman Public Corporation since 1931. Secretary American Builder Public Corporation since 1929.
