Career
He played in two Grand Finals for Richmond. The winning 1980 team against Collingwood and the losing team against Carlton in 1982. On 22 August 2009, Dunne was promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner at Victoria Police in charge of the north/west region.
In June 2014, he retired from Victoria Police after 38 years service, at the time he was in charge of the professional services command.
