Education
He graduated in 1901 from Tokyo University where he studied botany. Went to Europe in 1911 to study in Germany, Norway and England.
Career
Endo Kichisaburo was an expert on seaweeds. In 1907 he was appointed professor at the Sapporo Agricultural School, then at Tohoku University in Sendai. After returning to Japan, he was appointed professor at Hokkaido University.
