Rockefeller fellowship to study at Johns Hopkins University, 1927. Guggenheim fellowship to work at California Institute of Technology, 1935.
Topographer of the Bureau of Mines of Mendoza, 1921. Invited by the University of Berlin to continue his research work as guest of the University (to 1927). Awarded a Rockefeller Foundation fellowship, 1927 (to study with Professor R. W. Wood of the Johns Hopkins University).
Physicist of the Department of Terrestrial Magnetism of the Carnegie Institution, 1928. Research assistant of the Institute of Physics and professor of the Colegio Nacional of La Plata. Professor of physico-chemistry and of mathematical physics in the Faculty of Exact, Physical, and Natural Sciences of Buenos Aires since 1930.
