Dobiash Alexander Antonovich was a physicist, teacher, professor (1913).
Background
Dobiash Alexander Antonovich was born on September 28, 1875 in Saint Petersburg. His father, A. V. Dobiash, was a teacher of the gymnasium, later professor-Hellenist of the Nezhinsky History and Philology Institute. His sister, Olga Antonovna Dobiash-Rozhdestvenskaya, was a scientist-historian, source researcher, founder of Latin paleography.
Education
In 1897 Alexander graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of St. Petersburg University.
Since 1898 he was the senior laboratory assistant at the electrotechnical institute, since 1901 he was the laboratory assistant of the physical institute at the Petersburg University.
In 1913-1920 Alexander worked as a Professor, Rector (1918, 1922-1923) of the Voronezh Agricultural Institute.
He was engaged in the study of soil temperature.
In 1920-1923 Alexander was a Professor of Physics Department at the Voronezh State University. At the same time he worked at the Voronezh Practical Institute and other educational institutions.
Alexander was known as a popular lecturer. Since 1923 he was a Professor, Head of the Physics Department at the Military Medical Academy of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army in Leningrad.
Alexander was the author of following books: "To the theory of the electromagnetic valve", "The course of physics for medical universities", "The course of physics for technical schools".
