Enzaburo Tanaka was born in 1898 in Fukuoka, Japan.
He graduated from Agricultural Department of Tokyo University (1925).
He became principal of Ehime Seinen Shihan Gakko (Ehime Young Men's Normal School) and chief of School Affairs Department of Shimane Prefectural Government (1940) and thereafter became Kyoikucho (Chief Educational Officer) of Nagasaki Prefecture (1948) and president of Nagasaki Prefectural School Broadcasting Association.
He held additional posts of chief director of Nagasaki-ken Kyoikukai (Nagasaki Prefectural Education Society). Books include Gakkoeiv-no Shin-keiei (The New Management of School Gardens) and Shinsei Koto Gakko-no Keiei (The Management of New-System High Schools).
