Career
In 1967 he presented the Bernard Price Memorial Lecture and was elected President of the Institution of Electrical Engineers in 1972. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1968 and delivered their first Clifford Paterson lecture in 1976 on the subject of radar. He was awarded Order of the British Empire (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in 1962 and knighted in 1973.
