Eric Paul Hoberg, American Parasitologist. Achievements include elucidation of higher-level phylogenetic relationships of tapeworms, tapeworm systematics; application of phylogenetic inference to studies of nematodes of veterinary importance; discovery of Nematodirus battus in North America; formulation of the Arctic Refugium Hypothesis outlining determinants of speciation and historical biogeography among host parasite systems in the Holarctic.
