Served as volunteer with Naval Brigade in all engagements (despatches, Companion of St. Michael and St. George). In charge of Armenian relief work at Piraeus, 1896. Temporarily employed at Foreign Office, 1904. His (or Her) Majesty Consul for the Island of Reunion since 1900.
