Prior to joining the University of Florida, Dr. Brigham taught at the University of Connecticut, University of Wisconsin and the University of California at Los Angeles. He served as president of the Association of Financiers of control and has written more than 40 journal articles on the cost of capital, capital structure, and other aspects of financial management. The ten textbooks on managerial finance and managerial economics that he authored or co-authored are used in more than 1,000 universities in the United States and have been translated into 11 languages. J. Brigham book "Financial Management" co-authored with M. Ehrhardt, is, along with other books the author, one of the most popular textbooks on modern financial management and covers a lot of his questions and applications to stand for 10 editions.
