Career
She is currently a design principal with the firm, Perkins + Will. Maddox was named by Fast Company as one of the "change agents. She has been elected to the IIDA"s College of Fellows and inducted (1992) into the Interior Design Hall of Fame.
In 2014, Maddox was recognized for her work designing the exhibit spaces at the Intrepid Air Craft Carrier Museum, a winning site of Built by Women New York City, a competition launched by the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation during the fall of 2014 to identify outstanding and diverse sites and spaces designed, engineered and built by women.
Current project: The Haworth"s 20,000-square-foot (1,900 m2) New York showroom was designed by Maddox using Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Gold Standards. Focusing on the importance of sustainability of not only the interior, but the client"s employees who will be working in a healthy interior environment.
