THOMAS, Evan Kyffin was born on July 17, 1866 in Adelaide. Youngest son of late William Kytlin Thomas, a former proprietor of the Register and associated papers, and grandson of late Robert Thomas, formerly of Rhantregwnwyn, Montgomeryshire, Wales, and afierwards London, who in 1865 was one of the founders of the Register.

Studied at Prince Alfred College, Adelaide. Private tutor.
Career
Entered The Register Office, 1885. For some years sub-editor of the Register, and afterwards editor of the Observer. Became a partner, 1899.
Vice-president of South, Australian Master Printers’ Association. A Proprietor and General Manager of The Register, The Observer, and The Evening Journal, Adelaide, South Australia.
