In 1912 Felix studied art at Freiburg University in Freiburg, Germany, and later in Munich and Berlin, Germany.
From 1962 to 1975 Felix edited Europaeische Graphic, and was a contributing photographer to Picture Post in London (1938-1945, 1948-1951), Weekly Illustrated London (1934), Berliner Illustrierte (1932-1033) and Münchner Illustrierte Presse (1929-1932). His photographs have appeared in Harper’s Bazaar, Life and Sports Illustrated, among other journals.
