He was a distinguished pupil of Duarte Lobo.
Career
In 1638, entered the Order of Christ at Thomar, where he died on March 21, 1660. Of his many church-compositions, only one folio volume in MS. is extant: “ Lamentacoes, Responsorias e Misereres das tres officias da Quarta, Quinta e Sexta-feria da Semana Santa.”
