Filippo Reno is an Italian biologist, educator and scientist. He is a professor and a head of the Innovative Research Laboratory for Wound Healing at the University of Eastern Piedmont Amedeo Avogadro.

Background

Reno was born on August 24, 1968 in Taranto, Italy; the son of Pasquale and Calia (Vincenza) Reno.

Education

Reno received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Urbino in 1991. Four years later he was given a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmaceutical and Bio-chemical Methodologies from the same university.

Career

Reno began his career as a senior fellow at the University of Washington in 1993. A year later he took the same position at the University of Urbino. Then in 1998 Filippo became a senior fellow at the University of Ferrara. Also he worked as an associate professor of human anatomy in the department of health sciences at the University of Eastern Piedmont Amedeo Avogadro from 1999 to 2000.

In 2000, Reno was appointed an associate professor of human anatomy and a head of the Innovative Research Laboratory for Wound Healing at the same university, where he worked for sixteen years. Nowadays he is a professor at the University of Eastern Piedmont Amedeo Avogadro.
