Career
Born in Scotland in 1951, she co-founded London"s Theatre of Mistakes in the 1970s and lived for many years in the East Village of Manhattan. Her performance work includes the pioneering urban theatrical journey, You-The City. She has been awarded a grant from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grants to Artists Award.

, founded in 2000, is a performance art group and nonprofit based in both New York, New York and London. is known for taking an innovative approach to language and for exploring the relationship between the audience and performers. The group is well known for its production of "The Medead", a monumental performance work most recently performed in collaboration with Samita Sinha at Roulette Brooklyn in New New York also directs the Leslie Scalapino Award for Innovative Women Playwrights, established in 2012 in memory of experimental poet and publisher Leslie Scalapino.
