Domestic prelate with title of monsignor, 1922. Chairman Diocesan School Board, since 1922. Also member Diocesan Council and Diocesan Board of Administration.

Treasurer Catholic Ednl. Association, since 1905. Active in civic affairs, director Chamber of Industry, Cleveland, 1907-1911.

Director Associated Charities, 1908-1912, Anti-Tuberculosis League, since 1910. Chairman Home Finding bureau of Humane Society, 1912-1921. Chairman Federal Labor War Board, Cleveland, 1918-1919.

Has traveled extensively in Mexico, Europe and the Orient.
