Student Wabash College (Crawfordsville, Indiana), Ithaca (New York) Conservatory of Music, Cincinnati College of Music. Pupil of Doctor Percy Goetschius, New York, in theory and composition.

Career

Professor piano and musical theory, Pennsylvania College of Music, Meadville, 1906-1913. Professor music, University of Texas, 1913-1925. Director University Conservatory of Music since 1925.
