In hay pressing and tow mill business, Algona, Iowa, 1884-1887. Manufacturer flax tow, Orange, Iowa, 1887-1890. Became connected, 1890, with Morse Manufacturing Company, Trumansburg, New York, incorporated, 1898, as Morse Chain Company, later moving to Ithaca, now president and treasurer same.
Also president First National Bank of Orlando (Florida), Morse Products, Inc., Barr-Morse Corporation. Patentee of about 50 inventions relating mostly to silent chain and power transmission.
Member advisory committee State Insurance Fund and of finance committee, same fund, for State of New New York Director of City Hospital, Ithaca.
