He was educated at the State University and Cornell University’s School of Architecture, and in 1880 graduated in Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In practice for only a brief period, better known as the author of "Kidder's Architects' and Builders' Handbook ”, first published in 1884. Since that time the book has gone through eighteen editions up to the year 1944, in recent years entitled “Kidder-Parker Architects' and Builders’ Handbook."
Born at Bangor, Maine, he was educated at the State University and Cornell University’s School of Architecture, and in 1880 graduated in Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Kidder opened an office in Boston to begin practice, but due to ill-health moved to Denver about 1888, and carried on work in that city until 1891, associated for a time with the late John J. Humphreys.
