Franzd Alquen

Background

Franzd was born in 1810, in Arnsberg, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. He was a younger brother of Karl Almenräder.

Education

He was a law-student, but took piano-lessons of Ferd. Ries.

Career

Ries, with whom he traveled, and adopted the career of a professional pianist and teacher. In 1827, teacher in Brussels; 1830, went to London. Published concertos, sonatas, and other pianoforte-pieces. He died in London on June 18, 1887.
