Career
Fujimoto Tobu was an actor, a disciple of Sojflro Sawamura, before he became a playwright with the name of Tobun Sawamura. By 1744, he became the principal writer of plays for the Nakamuraza Theater in Edo (now Tokyo). Excelled in historical plays.
