He graduated from Tohoku University (1923), and became assistant researcher of the Rikagaku Kenkyusho (The Physical and Chemical Research Institute) in 1926.
Career
He was honored with a doctorate in 1929 and the same year went to Germany for further study. After returning to Japan, appointed professor of Tohoku University in 1932 and then professor in 1933.
