Fukuzawa Momosuke was born in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture in 1868. His original family name was Iwasaki. Adopted as a son by Yukichi Fukuzawa, the great educator and founder of Keio University.

Fukuzawa Momosuke was born in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture in 1868. His original family name was Iwasaki. Adopted as a son by Yukichi Fukuzawa, the great educator and founder of Keio University.
After graduating from Keio University, he studied in the United States and worked with the Pennsylvania Railroad Co.
Returning to Japan in 1889, he became a director of the Kisogawa Electric Power Co., Tenryu River Electric Power Co., Hokoku Cement Co. and other firms. Was elected a member of the House of Representatives.
