Like many conceptual artists of his generation, he would explore sculpture, painting, photography, and video. He would also absorb the cultures of different countries, travelling extensively and setting up homes in Paris, New York City, and Mexico City.
1993 Participates in the 45th Venice Biennale.
1997 Takes part in Documenta X.
In 2009-10 The Museum of Modern Art, New York presents the retrospective Gabriel Orozco.
