Painting wet-to-wet is a basic watercolour technique, but also one that can be difficult to master. In this technique, the artist washes colour in varying degress of wetness onto a wet surface. There the colour blends and blurs and can be hard to control; but with practice, the results can be lush and lively luminous colours.
