Background
Prof. Gamal A Elmegeed was born in 1966 in Aswan, Egypt. B.Sc., 1988, Faculty of Science, Assiot University, Egypt. M.Sc., 1995, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt. PhD., 2000, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt. He is currently an academic Professor of Hormones and Medicinal Chemistry; Supervisor for many M.Sc. and Ph.D. Theses; Head Researcher, Vice Researcher and/or member for many research projects. Head of medicinal chemistry group at Hormones Dept., Vice president of Hormones Department (2013-2015), Medical Research Division, National Research Centre, Head of the Committee of Scientific and Technical Services, Medical Research Division, 2012-2015. Published more than 50 peer reviewed manuscripts, several editorials and three books, member in the editorial board of many international and local journals. He also had more than 40 international and national conferences, and 35 workshop and symposium. Participated in organizing 3 conferences for the Medical Research Division (January and December 2013) and Dec. 2014. Member at 10 local and 2 international scientific associations. He served as a reviewer for more than 20 international journals. Reviewed 6 local projects, 65 international papers, and 4 Masters and PhDs Received an award “Scientific Excellence Award” from National Research Center for year 2012, 2011 and 2010.
