Physician by profession. 1891-1892 helped found Social-Democratic circles in Yekaterinoslav. Late 1920's emigrated and joined Liberation of Labor Group.
From 1902 Iskra representative in Paris. 1903, after 2nd Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Congress, sided with Bolsheviks. Contributed to newspapers “Vperyod” and “Proletary” 1907 at 5th Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Congress presented report for Bolsheviks on “the workers’ congress”, and elected member, Central Committee, Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party.
Late 1907 arrested and imprisoned, then lived in Tula, practicing medical and continuing Party work. After 1917 February Revol sided for a while with the internationalists. Joined “New Life” group.
After 1917 October Revol Collegium member, People's Commissariat of Labor. From August 1918 comissar, Revol Military Council, 4th Army on Eastern Front. Wrote a number of historical and political studies and works on preventive medical and soc security.
