Education
Gennady Yakovlevich graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Voronezh State University (1961).
Career
Gennady Yakovlevich was illegally repressed due to the so-called case of the Communist Youth Party (Voronezh, 1949). He was serving the term of imprisonment in Siberia, Kazakhstan. Since 1957, a correspondent, then editor of the Voronezh Regional Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting. His works were published since 1949 in the journals "Podyom", "Smena", "Molodaya Gvardiya" and others. The author of about 20 books, including "Spring Again" (Voronezh, 1957), "Let us Talk, Father" (Voronezh, 1969, 1972; Moscow, 1979), "Luminous Sheaves" (Moscow, 1978; foreword by E. Isaeva), "Attic" (Moscow, 1981), "Prisuha" (Moscow, 1986).
