He received an architectural training at the University of Philadelphia, later studied at the American Academy in Rome, and in Paris under M. Laloux.
Returning to Philadelphia the young man entered the office of Cope & Stewardson and continued as draftsman there until the death of Walter Cope. In 1927 he began practice in partnership with the late Emlyn Stewardson (Stewardson & Page), and carried on work in that association until 1936, afterward maintained an independent office. Among his most important works during the last phase of his career were the North American Building in Philadelphia, a number of dormitories at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Federal Post Office at Allentown, Pa.
