Kiaksht, Georgii was born on February 7, 1873. Son of a peasant from Kovno, now Kaunas, Lithuania.

Graduated from the Petersburg Theatre School, 1891, in the class of N. Volkov and P. Gerdt.
Dancer and later leading dancer at the Mariinskii Theatre until 1910. With the A. Shiriaev company on tour in Monte Carlo, 1902. From 1909-1911, with the Ballets Russes in Paris.
From 1903-1904, he and his sister, the ballerina Lidia Kiaksht, performed with the Bolshoi Theatre. In 1910, left Russia. In 1920, choreographer of the Vienna State Theatre, also director of the company and ballet school there.
Moved to Buenos Aires where he worked as a choreographer. One of the founders of the Argentinian National Ballet. Returned to his birthplace and from 1930 worked as a dancer, choreographer and teacher with the Kaunas Theatre.
