This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. Studied at Nelson College New Zealand. Manchester Grammar School. Edinburgh University.
Spent early life in New Zealand. Doctor of Medicine; Master in Surgery. Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians.
Came to England, and from Manchester went to Edinburgh University. Practised in Herefordshire until 1902, then went to Edinburgh to devote whole time to Zoology and Comparative Pathology. Appointed interim Professor of Pathology at Royal Veterinary College, 1902.
Founded The Field Naturalists’ Quarterly, 1902. Fellow of Royal Physical Society, Edinburgh, 1902. Honourable Member Woolhope Naturalists’ Club, 1903.
Member British Medical Association. Member British Association. Professor of Pathology and Bacteriology, Royal Veterinary College, Edinburgh, since 1908.
