In 1946 German Viktorovich graduated from the studio at the Kuibyshev Drama Theater. He finished the Higher Directing Courses at the State Institute of Theatrical Art named after A.V. Lunacharsky (now Russian Academy of Theatre Arts) in 1965.
In 1946-1964 German Viktorovich was the actor and director in theaters of Syzran, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Yaroslavl, Krasnoyarsk. He was the director of the Voronezh Drama Theater in 1965-1968 and 1984-1988. The plays he put on this stage: "Fool" by Lope de Vega, "Warsaw Melody" by Leonid Genorovich Zorin, "Traditional Meeting" by Viktor Sergeyevich Rozov, "Invisible Lady" by Pedro Calderon, "Ordinary" by Alexei Anufrievich Dudarev, "Uncle Vanya" by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, "Visit of the old lady" by Friedrich Durrenmatt. After 1988 he was a teacher at the Voronezh State Institute of Arts, he also carried out the productions in Samara.
