Gidosashi-no -Haha

Background

Gidosashi-no-Haha was born around 975. Originally she was named Takako Takanashi and also called Takano-naishi. Gidosashi-no-Haha was the daughter of Naritada Takanashi. Her name consists of the parts, "gido" (vice-minister) and "haha" (mother), referring to her status as female parent of Korechika, the vice-minister.

Connections

She married Michitaka Fujiwara. Gidosashi-no-Haha gave birth to two children, Korechika (974-1010) and Sadako, the latter became the wife of Emperor Ichijo.
