The anthology, a self-help book, deals with many types of abuse. It teaches one how to recognize the signals of violence and ways to heal or overcome. The book discusses emotional abuse, cyberspace abuse, male and elderly abuse, sexual addictions; why people violate others, males in power roles, domestic violence, when to leave, choosing between you and the children, how to nurture the relationship, effective communication, the effects of healthy self-esteem, givers versus takers, and many other subjects. The book shares the author's experiences as well as those of other male and female survivors. There are many organizations and resources included; divided by category, who are working to stop the violence.
