Goroemon Terada was born in 1745 in Japan.
Goroemon Terada was a retainer of Matsudaira-Sakyodayii, Lord of Takasaki, at Kozuke Province (Gumma Prefecture). He learnt swordsmanship from Hachizaemon Ikeda and is said to have never used any sort of protection for 12 years.
He originated the Tenshin Itto school of fencing and was also a disciple of the Zen Sect.
