He graduated from Tokyo University of Agriculture (1923).
Career
Goroku Takagi entered Korean Forestry Research Institute as an engineer. He was president of Nagano Prefectural Agricultural College, he became professor at Tokyo University of Agriculture.
He published papers on the damage to Japanese red pines in the urban districts and necessary steps to be taken against it, research on three noxious insects and research on damage from a disease to Korean pines. He was awarded the Japan Agricultural Society prize. Works: " A Collection of Illustrations of Fungi Produced in Korea."
