KANEVSKY, Grigoriy was born in 1897 in Poltava, Ukrainia.
1922 graduated Kharkov Medicine Institute.
Chairman, Kharkov Oblast, and board member, All-Union Society of Physiotherapists and Health Resort Specialists. Member, Physiotherapeutic Commissions, Learned Council, USSR and Ukrainia Ministry of Health, and Institute of Physiotherapy. Member, Editor Council, journal “Voprosy kurortologii, fizioterapii i lechebnoy fizicheskoy kultury” (Problems of Health Resort Affairs, Physiotherapy and Kincsiatrics).
Member, Central Science Council for Physical Training, USSR Ministry of Health, etc. Works deal with: clinical aspects and physical methods of treating diseases of the cardiovascular system. Battle traumas and injuries of the peripheral nerve trunks, cranium and cerebrum.
Causalgia; osteomyelitis. Frostbite and contracture. Restorative surgery of the tendomuscular apparatus.
Published many chapters on electrotherapy and general physiotherapy in a manual of general therapy and in a medical clinical vademecum. 1922-1925 physician, Bekhterev Physiotherapeutic Institute, Kharkov. 1925-1938 Head, Physiotherapeutic Department, 3rd Kharkov Polyclinic.
Simultaneously Assistant, lecturer, then Professor, Chair of Physiotherapy, 1st and 2nd Kharkov Medicine Institute and Ukrainia Postgraduate Medicine Institute. For 4 years Deputy Director of Studies, Ukrainia Institute of Health Resort Affairs. For over 20 years consultant, Rail Transport Medicine and Health Service.
