In 1912, he graduated from the drama school of the St. Petersburg Literary and Artistic Society.
In 1913 – 1914, Grigory Yaron worked in Borisoglebsk with entrepreneur A.L. Mirolyubova. During this time, he played in many performances, among them: "Oedipus the King" (Blind Soothsayer), "Camo Gryadyshi" (Chilon), "Jealousy" (Semen Semenovich) and others. Worked as a dramatic actor in the Maly (Suvorinsky) Theater of St. Petersburg, in theaters in Kiev, Odessa, and Kharkiv. In 1915, he made his debut in an operetta ("Count Luxemburg" by F. Legard, "Young Theater", Petrograd). In 1918-1920, he worked in the operetta E. V. Potapkina in Moscow. Since 1922, an artist of the Moscow Operetta Theater; among the best roles: The Undertaker ("The Grooms" by I. O. Dunaevsky), Count Kutaisov ("The Serf" by N. M. Strelnikov), Pelican ("The Princess of the Circus" by I. Kalman). Since 1924, he played and sang in musical films, including the popular film "Mr. X" (1958, directed by Yu. O. Khmelnitsky). In 1927-1939 and 1942-1945, the artistic director of this theater, staged the operettas "The Wedding in Malinovka" by B. A. Alexandrov (1937, premiere), "On the Bank of the Amur" by M. I. Blanter (1939, premiere)," Silva " by Kalman (1941) , etc.
