After graduating Guchi Masuda became chief editor of Jitsugyo-no-Nihon, an economic magazine, and introduced his subjects in an easy style. He entering politics as a member of Minseito Party in 1914 and was elected to the Diet. He was also once vice-chairman of House of Representatives.
