Educated at Cornell University, N.Y., for the architectural profession, Mr. Wendall continued his studies in Paris and other cities of Europe.

Shortly after his return he settled in Denver, Colo., and in 1880 the City Directory carried his name under "Architects.” Continuing in practice there over two decades, Mr. Wendell designed a number of churches and various other buildings, also designed by him. He did a great deal of residential work. The Hughes house in Denver (East 12th Avenue and Grant Street), one of the finest private homes.
After moving to Augusta, Ga., about 1908, he won a reputation as specialist in residence work, also designed St. Paul s Episcopal Church.
