Hakatoko Iki-no was in China as a companion to the Japanese vice-envoy, Kissho Tsumori during the reign of Emperor Saimei and that he returned home during the reign of Emperor Tenchi. He was then sent to Korea to escort back Hoso Shiba. Jonied the abortive revolt of Prince ptsu, but Empress Regnant Jito did not punish him for his betrayal.
