Handoko Subawi is Indonesian engineer. After completing his early education at Pati, he entered Institut Teknologi Bandung and he was named engineer in 1990. Among his related interests are green technology, advanced materials, lightweight structures.
Background
H Subawi was born in Pati on October 8, 1965 to a family of a farmer. Pati is the district capital as part of the province of Central Java, and is located on the north coast of Java Island, on the slopes of Mount Muria. Pati has fertile land as an area for rice cultivation and fisheries. Its lush green birthplace inspires an interest in environmental conservation and the application of advanced technology.

Career
H Subawi was first interested in consultative work in the environmental protection, through the application of green technology. At that time, he worked as a member of the national committee for the protection of the ozone layer in Indonesia. In addition, he is interested in dealing with advanced materials, manufacturing development, and lightweight structures.
His expertise is also being applied to support some development projects of environmentally friendly products related to the use of advanced materials for the development of composite turbine blades, composite light aircraft, water impact ground effect aircraft, lightweight passenger aircraft, aircraft production facilities, et cetera.
He has contributed to scientific organizations, for example JOP, AASEC, JEPE, AMR, CORR, NACE, RCMAT, MSA, IJMP-B, JMDA-L, JCM, ICAMST, ICMAT, RCS, RC-ASTI, ICCE, LAP GmbH, ANS. He writes scientific journals, books, proceedings, articles in the advanced materials, process engineering and lightweight structures. He holds patents related to advanced materials and lightweight structures.
