Career
He was also President of Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Services (Proceedings of the Chemical Society) Officers Association and retired as Commissioner & Administrator, Sharda Sahayak Command Area Development Project, Lucknow in August 2007. Before joining Aam Aadmi Party he was president of Rashtriya Lok Dal of Uttar Pradesh unit, a post which he left stating ideological reasons prevented him from doing his job. Singh is contesting Lok Sabha election from Mainpuri against Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
