Studied at Grosvenor School, Bath. Bachelor of Arts London, 1879. On staff of Bath Herald till June 1883.
Specially interested in the condition of the poor and in children’s education.
Formerly Honourable Secretary, Bath Young Men’s Liberal Association. Honourable Secretary, Bristol Liberal Federation. Vice-President University of London Liberal Association and North Somerset Liberal Association.
Member of the Institute of Journalists. Editor of the Bristol Mercury, 1883-1901.
