As of October 2014, he most recently managed TFF First League side Gaziantep BlackBerry at 2013-2014 season. Known for his acrobatic skills, Özer scored numerous bicycle kicks during his career, scored against Altay and Ankaragücü in 2002, Göztepe in 2003.
