Teacher algebra I and II, Halls High School, 1959-1960; teacher chemistry, physics and biochemistry, Dyersburg (Tennessee) City Schools, 1960-1969; supervisor instruction, Dyer County School System, Dyersburg professor of chemistry, Dyersburg State Community College, since 1983. Chairman faculty senate Dyersburg State Community College, 1989-1993. Faculty board member Tennessee Board Regents, since 1992.

Consultant National Science Foundation.
